One thing I haven't had the time to express about my business is my uncanny desire to build something that is meaningful to society and help out as many people as I possibly can.
There are different mediums as to how you can go about this, and unsurprisingly, when you imagine impact, the last thing you would probably think of is dog poop. I totally agree. I didn't think that I would find myself in this space either but it sure is a good way to help others and be of service.
You also may think that this is just a chore that anyone can do. Well, in your world that may be true, but many others might not have those simple luxuries in life. Such as the ability to walk without pain, breath without trouble, or the time to get to these tasks due to strenuous work schedules to provide for their families.
Life happens and if I can be of service and help take one thing off someone else's plate, I happily will. This service is much more fulfilling than "just removing poop" from the client's yard.
To name a few:
It is about curating relationships with those sweet pups and the humans that care for them.
It's about the small talk in the yard about how the business is growing and how excited they are to hear that.
It is about hearing the stories of how they got their furry companions and seeing them grow over time
It's about being there for the client in hard times.
It's about the clients. Not the poop.
Building a relationship the right way takes a LOT of time, energy, and resources. Imagine doing that time and time again with each and every unique individual you come across. My business provides me with that special opportunity to help out and touch lives, even in the smallest of ways. I am grateful to have such an opportunity.
10 years is my timeline, and I am barely 3 months in. It is a long game I am playing because I want to do it right. I want to build something meaningful and deep rooted, and I am willing to delay the gratification and not spend the money made on things that don't matter to the client. I am focused on the value provided and how I can do that better and faster than the others.
This is meaningful work, and it takes time. Stick around to see it built, because it will be.
